Court reads Ojukwu’s Will, Bianca takes lion share, love-child revealed gets hotel

The will of the late Ikemba Nnewi, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, was on Friday presented to the family with his widow, Bianca, getting the lion’s share and Ojukwu’s surprise love-child, Tenny Haman revealed and provided for in the will.

The will was read by the Chief Registrar of the Enugu High Court, Mr. Dennis Ekoh, and was witnessed by Bianca, Mr. Val Nwosu, Ojukwu’s first cousin, and Mr Mike Ejemba.

According to state-owned newswire NAN, in the will, Ojukwu listed his children as Tenny Haman, Chukwuemeka Jnr, Mmegha, Okigbo, Ebele, Chineme, Afam and Nwachukwu.

The Ikemba gave the Casabianca Lodge at No. 7, Forest Crescent, GRA, Enugu, two properties at Jabi and Kuje in the FCT as well as all his money and personal effects to his widow.

He also said that Bianca should replace him as the trustee in the family company, Ojukwu Transport Ltd, while also giving her two plots of land in his village at Nnewi.

He, however, added that if she re-married, the land should be taken away from her.

The first son, Emeka Jnr., got the family house at Nnewi, while the newly mentioned daughter, Tenny Haman, got the Jubilee Hotel located in Zaria, Kaduna State.

The Biafran warlord also shared other landed property in the village among all his children.

Ojukwu listed the trustees and executors of the will to include Bianca, Emeka Jnr and Mr James Chukwuneme.

Reacting to the will, Bianca, who is Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, expressed satisfaction with its contents.

“It was a fair will. This time round, he did not disappoint us,’’ she said.

The ambassador, however, expressed shock at the disclosure of a new daughter in the family, whom she said had never been mentioned by her husband.

None of the children was present at the presentation of the will, NAN said.

3 dead after attack at Wyo. community college

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — An attack at a community college in central Wyoming and another location nearby left three people dead Friday morning — a faculty member, another person, and the suspect, who police say used a sharp-edged weapon in the killings. Police found two of those killed at a science building on the Casper College campus and the third at another location about 2 miles away. Authorities didn't identify the suspect or victims but said two were male and one was female.The suspect wasn't believed to be a student, but it appeared there was a relationship between the suspect and victims killed, Police Chief Chris Walsh said."We're locating next of kin, and working on notification absolutely as fast as we can," he said. Walsh said he wanted the community to know there was no further threat."I want to emphasize that this is a horrible tragedy," Walsh said. "And I want the city to, well I can't say, you know just feel safe right now. There is no one at large."

The attack occurred just before 9 a.m. Friday at the two-year community college in Casper, about 250 miles northwest of Denver.

Class was in session and the campus was locked down after the attack and the science building was evacuated, but the lockdown had ended by early afternoon. Police provided some details in a news conference streamed live by the Casper Star-Tribune (http://trib.com/ ). Political science instructor Chris Henrichsen said he was showing the film "Frost/Nixon" to his Wyoming and U.S. government class when he stepped into the hall to get something for a student and was told a homicide had occurred on campus.He went back to his classroom, where students were getting messages about the campus lockdown on their phones."We locked the door and waited for further instruction," Henrichsen said. The class finished watching the remaining 10 minutes of the movie and remained locked down 20 minutes after that, he said.

The students then were sent home, but some who parked near a different campus building where the attack occurred had to leave their cars there, Henrichsen said. Henrichsen said he saw nothing unusual or suspicious on campus before the attack. Walsh said 33 law enforcement officers from different agencies responded to the college after receiving reports about an attack. He said authorities first thought it might have been an "active shooter type situation.""We quickly contained the building, and started a sweep through the building," he said.

Walsh said within minutes of the initial call, there was another report of a traumatic injury about two miles southwest of campus. He would not specify where the suspect was found dead, but said, "one of those who is deceased is who we believe was committing all the violence."Casper is Wyoming's second-largest city with a population of about 56,000. Wyoming residents refer to it as the "Oil City" because it's a hub for the state's small oil industry.Casper is flanked to the south by Casper Mountain, scene of a massive wildfire in September that burned more than 24 square miles of forest and meadows and destroyed 37 homes and cabins.

The artist swears this poster has nothing to do with comparing Obama to Jesus Christ, despite the fact he has Obama wearing a crown of thorns and in the crucifix position. As offensive as the image is, the artist of course has the right to do it, but will the left afford those they disagree with the same right?

A painting that features President Obama posed as Jesus Christ crucified on a cross is on display at a community college art gallery in Boston.
The painting by Michael D’Antuono is part of a larger exhibit called “Artists on the Stump – the Road to the White House 2012.” It’s on display at the Bunker Hill Community College Art Gallery until Dec. 15th.
The painting is called “Truth” – and shows the president on the cross with his arms outstretched. A crown of thorns rests on his head.

“He (D’Antuono) said First Amendment rights should override somebody’s hurt feelings.  He said he’s ‑‑ we should celebrate the fact that we live in a country where we’re all given the freedom to express ourself.  The crucifixion of the president was metaphorically.  My intent was not to compare him to Jesus,” Glenn said.
Glenn said that he actually agreed with D’Antuono that the first amendment should override hurt feelings, and he planned to present his own artwork tonight in order to show his support for the plan. While he was vague on what exactly he planned to do, he did seem to be drinking a lot of water. Tune in tonight to see what he has planned.

RMD In Fraud Mess; Allegedly Embezzles N50m In Delta State

Popular Nollywood actor turned politician, Richard Mofe Damijo (popularly called RMD), who's the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State has allegedly embezzled N50 million belonging to the ministry, together with the acting General Manager of the state’s Tourism Board, Philo Nkem Ajufo.

Sources in Delta State, including two employees of the Culture Ministry, told our reporter that a former commissioner in the Ministry had requested N50 million to organize the “Delta State Expo 2007.” However, the state government was unable to release the funds that particular year to sponsor the yearly event.

By some bizarre twist, the funds were finally released to the ministry’s tourism account in May, 2012.


“As soon as the money arrived, the commissioner said that the ministry could no longer hold the event since six years had elapsed,” said a source within the ministry. “The Honorable Commissioners also argued that Deltans would have forgotten about the event – and therefore the money should not be used for the purpose it was released.”

However, our reporter obtained documents from the Delta State Ministry of Finance stipulating that the N50 million must be spent on the event for which the Culture Ministry applied for it. The warrant was signed by one P.O. Evuojapha on behalf of the state's Commissioner of Finance. The warrant indicated that N35 million of the funds was to go to the Tourism Board.

Our sources disclosed that RMD connived to issue a check of N35 million in the name of Ms. Ajufo who reportedly deposited the sum into her First Bank private account number 3006131619. “Mrs. Ajufo and RMD then shared the money,” one of our sources asserted.

Another government source said, “It is very obvious that the manner the check was issued in the name of the board GM instead of in the name of the board was fraudulent. It portrays an element of fraud.”

Several of our sources depicted Ms. Ajufo as somebody versed in the art of warming up to top politicians in the state and getting her way.

Two sources said Ms. Ajufo used her share of the looted funds to start off a twin duplex building located at No.6 Dunkwu Crescent in Asaba, the state capital. The building is behind Junior Staff quarters and near a Redeemed Christian Church. One source said Ms. Ajufo started the project in June, 2012.

Surprisingly, a source close to Ms. Ajufo told SaharaReporters that the head of the tourism board had denied receiving any of the embezzled funds. “She accused Mr. Mofe Damijo of carting away the whole sum of N50 million even when her account was used to commit the fraud,” said the source.

Meanwhile, Ms. Ajufo’s staff have reportedly lost all patience with her manner of running the board. “The acting GM is very, very corrupt,” said a staffer. “As we talk, apart from her official car, the Tourism Board cannot boast of a single functional car. All the board’s cars are grounded. And in this era of technology, there is no single working computer apart from one in her office – which she doesn’t use. Her office is entitled to N1 million subventions every month, but as soon as the money comes the commissioner and the GM share most of it. The left over is never properly used by the GM.”

When a reporter sent a text to Ms. Ajufo, the embattled GM wrote back, “Please, speak with the Honorable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism. Thank you.”

Contacted by phone, Mr. Damijo denied all the allegations, insisting that no such money was released to his ministry at any time. “That matter is a dead matter,” he said. “There was no N50 million released to my ministry.” I run the Ministry with people, the Permanent Secretary and other directors.”

Kano Riot: Bodies of 2 Brothers Arrive Nnewi, Anambra

Following the gruesome murder of two brothers from Nnewi in Hotoro quarters [Kano State], 247ureports.com has received information that the family of the murdered brother hurriedly ‘smuggled the bodies of the two dead brothers out of Kano on Tuesday morning [November 27, 2012].

It is recalled that the two brothers [Chisom, 18 and Nonso, 21] were shot dead at close range at the Hotoro Quarters located at the outskirts of Sabon Garri town – inside Nasarawa local government council near Taroni. The two boys had come to pay a visit to their mother who resides inside the quarters . They were students of University of Jos.

On deadly day – caused by a riot of mischief - middle aged men who drove on two motorbikes – screaming “Allah is Great” in Arabic language shot Nonso directly on the forehead killing him instantly – and then raining barrage of bullets on Chisom who also died instantly. The men then escaped on their motorbikes – only to return shortly to ‘verify’ the identities of the two brothers. Following their verification, they drove into a nearby Mosque – and entered inside. After a brief stay inside the Mosque – they exited and departed the scene.

Within 10minutes of the gunmen’s departure, the police arrived the scene. At the scene of the crime, eyewitnesses indicates that the police proceeded to collect the corpses of the two brothers onto their vehicle – without questioning the eyewitnesses who had gathered near the area. The police deposited the two corpses at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital. Hours later, the family of the two boys went to the hospital to identify and claim the corpse.

The police, on its part, failed to launch investigation into the killing. The police department decided not to collect the statement from the mother of the two boys [Mrs Ejikeme] – until on Tuesday November 27, 2012 – three days after the killing. The police came to the grieving mother’s home to collect her statement after pressures were mounted by Ohaneze Ndigbo in Kano State.

Following the statement collection, the community of Umuennem in Otolo Nnewi - thought it necessary to remove the corpses of the two boys from Kano and transport them home immediately to avoid the Police department or the State government from laying claim over the two bodies. The two bodies arrived Otolo Nnewi on the morning of Wednesday November 28, 2012. Burial arrangement are ongoing.

On the part of the Kano State government, 247ureports.com gathered that the Governor dispatched a delegation to visit with the mother at her home. Among the delegation was the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Farouk who indicated that the Kwankwaso administration pledged to support her [the mother] “through these trying times” both financially and morally.

The boys were native of Umuennem, Otolo Nnewi in Anambra State – the sons of Gabriel Ejikeme. The father had long evacuated Kano state for Lagos following the last riot in Kano – leaving the wife and his 4 children. The name of one of the murdered sons is Nonso Ejikeme and his younger brother. Nonso was a 400 level medical student while his younger brother, Chisom was a 300 level engineering student. 247uReports

A China Man Builds ‘Noah’s Ark’ in Preparation for Dec 21, 2012 Apocalypse

Despite reports that experts have long been trying to convince people that the so-called Mayan apocalypse, slated to strike on Dec. 21, will not occur,  a man in China Lu Zhenghai has reportedly spent his life savings on the construction of his very own “Noah’s Ark.”

Worried about the impending 2012 “Mayan apocalypse, Lu began building his so-called ark in 2010 out of fear that an impending “doomsday” flood would threaten his and his family’s survival.

“I’m afraid that when the end of the world comes in 2012, flood waters will destroy my house,” Lu told the Chinese News Service, according to a HuffPost translation.

“So I took all my savings, about $160,500 (N24m), and invested in the construction of this boat,” he continued. “When the time comes, everyone can take refuge in it.”

Chinese news website FMN reports that Lu's "ark" was built with 10 tons of timber and 60 tons of steel. Due to lack of funds, however, it has yet to be completed.

"How my daughter’s fiancé bathed her with acid"

The motive behind the acid bath of 22-year-old Chika Egbo by her estranged lover, David Sulaimon, remains elusive, but one thing is sure, the victim may not remain the same again. Chika is a student of the Enugu State College of Education. Last Tuesday, when our correspondent visited her at the Burns Unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Egbo has become a shadow of the beautiful girl she was. The substance Sulaimon allegedly poured on her had destroyed every visible skin from her chest upwards.

She mumbled to her father, a Taraba State-based businessman, as she could neither see nor speak properly at the time. When her father, Matthew Egbo, narrated the incident that led to Chika’s state, the story brought tears to his eyes as he lamented that his daughter would never be normal again. Matthew said, “In March 2011, someone who identified himself as Lekan Sulaimon called me, asking for my daughter’s hand in marriage. We talked a lot and I promised to speak with Chika on the issue. “My daughter later told me he was the boy she was in love with and said she had resolved to marry him.”After much discussion, Matthew told Sulaimon to bring his parents for proper introduction, but the suitor said his father was ill and needed to be taken abroad for treatment. He also said his mother was abroad. Matthew said, “On the June 25 date that we agreed on, Sulaimon brought seven men and four women dressed in Yoruba attire to my hometown, Enugu, where we held the introduction.

“But around November last year, my wife travelled from Taraba to Enugu and Chika told her she was pregnant.”

According to Matthew, Chika told her parents they should not be alarmed since she and Sulaiman had agreed to get married. Chika was instructed to go to Lagos and tell Sulaiman’s relations about the pregnancy. But when she got back from Lagos, Chika told her father that she discovered that most of what Sulaiman had told her about his parents were lies. Matthew explained, “For instance, Chika discovered that Sulaimon’s father was hale and hearty. The father told her he was not aware of any plans by his son to get married. “She also learnt that the mother was not abroad too. She visited her and she told us the woman received her well and even expressed joy that his son had found someone to marry. “But after the visit, we heard nothing from neither Sulaimon nor his parents until after my daughter gave birth to a baby girl on May 4. Our correspondent learnt that Chika had broached the idea of abortion to her parents, as she told them it was apparent that the man she was in love with had lied to her all along. Matthew forbade her to consider abortion. After the baby was born, Chika was said to have informed Sulaimon, but he gave series of excuses why he could not visit her.

He reportedly told her he was facing some challenges and did not have the wherewithal to take care of the baby at the moment. After a few months, Chika’s baby girl was weaned and taken to Taraba to live with Matthew and his wife. The Egbos said they took the decision to take the baby off their daughter’s hands so that she could continue her study.

PUNCH Metro learnt that in November, Sulaimon began to request that he needed to see his baby, but Matthew told him to bring his parents to come and iron things out. Chika was said to have insisted she did not want to have anything to do with the young man anymore. But on November 5, Chika travelled to Lagos after Sulaimon had informed her that his mother wanted to see her. The unsuspecting girl left Enugu without informing her parents. “My phone just rang that day and I was told to come to Lagos because a young man had poured acid on my daughter,” Chika’s father said. Matthew said the message came as  a rude shock since he was not aware his daughter went to Lagos. He explained that the police were the ones who got his number from her phone.

He said,“What I learnt was that when she arrived Igando, Lagos, Sulaimon met her and she demanded that he should take her to his mother who wanted to see her. “What we gathered from the little she could mumble to us was that Sulaimon went behind a house and as they were about to pick an okada to his mother’s house, he brought out a polythene. “But when they stopped at a point and Chika thought they were going to proceed to his mother’s house, he just opened a container in the polythene he was carrying and emptied its content on her head.“She told us when she realised that what Sulaimon poured on her had began eating into her skin, she raised the alarm and called for help.”

PUNCH Metro learnt that passersby and sympathisers, who had been alerted to the young woman’s plight, pursued the fleeing Sulaimon. He was caught and taken to Ikotun Police Station. “Till now, I still don’t know why he did what he did,” Matthew said.Divisional Police Officer of Ikotun, Mr. Augustin Akika, confirmed the incident, but said the suspect had been transferred to the state Criminal Investigations Department, Yaba.

Aluu4 movie is in the works which is being produced by Simony Productions, the Idumota Marketers that brought you Blackberry Babes. I don't see anything wrong with making a tribute movie but we Nigerians don't know how to do it well. I believe before making such tribute, proper investigation and research should be done not just go by hear say....I'm not sure if the main purpose of this producer is to make money or pay respect to the victims. Terry G popular known as 'Akpako Master' seems to be having problems staying out of trouble lately, the pop singer was accused of an alleged "Hit and Run" case which happened on November 23, 2012. It was reported that as he drove off the premises of a local night club (Club Royale) and drove over a pedestrian leg who was immediately taken to the General Hospital located in Ikeja. Wemabod Police Station was notified about the incident. As reports have it Terry G is currently in the UK.... if this is true then this is craziness all the way why would a sane person leave the sense of an accident? if this is true or not true then I think Terry G needs to give a statement concerning this issue ASAP.

The Aerosmith frontman gave an interview to MTV, slamming the new judges on the show, and mentioned, "You just have to give your opinion. It wasn't hard for me, but I would imagine it's hard for some people, and they need a manager to say 'Shut the f--- up, and just give them your opinion,' " Tyler said."These kids, they just got out of a car from the Midwest somewhere and they're in New York City, they're scared to death; you're not going to get the best [out of them]. ... If it was Bob Dylan, Nicki Minaj would have had him sent to the cornfield! Whereas, if it was Bob Dylan with us, we would have brought the best of him out, as we did with Phillip Phillips. Just saying." That didn't sit to well with Minaj, who decided to give the rock star a piece of her mind." Steven Tyler said I would have sent Bob Dylan to a cornfield??? Steven, you haven't seen me judge one single solitary contestant yet," she wrote. "I understand you really wanted to keep your job but take that up with the producers. I haven't done anything to you. That's a racist comment. You assume that I wouldn't have liked Bob Dylan??? why? black? rapper? what? go f--k yourself and worry about yourself babe." The Barbz leader continued with, "LOL lets make him a shirt that says "No Coloreds Allowed" then escort him down 2 Barbara Walters so he can tell how he was threatened w/guns. When Steven 1st went on Idol he was ridiculed by his peers & fans alike. Called a sell out. So what does he do? Ridicule the next judge." Tyler hasn't responded to any of Nicki's tweets and Fox had no comment on the matter.
